Catholic Church

Búč (Búcs)

For centuries there was only a Reformed church in Búè. During the 20th century, Catholics came to Búè mainly by marriage from the surrounding Hungarian villages. In the early 2000s, the villagers started a petition to build a church. In 2004, the church was built in 8.5 months and blessed by Pope John Paul II. The small modern church dedicated to St. Padre Pio dominates the village, built on a hill at the very beginning of the village, next to the main road leading to the village.
